LIBRARIAN'S DAY
National Librarian’s Day is celebrated every year on August 12th 2025 in India to honour the birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, the father of Library Science in India. To honour Padmashri awardee Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, a one-day program was held on 12th August 2025 at H.K.College of Pharmacy. Book Exhibition and Book review The Book Exhibition started with inauguration by Dr. Tushar N.Lokhande (Principal of H.K.College of Pharmacy) at 11.00am on 12/08/2025. Dr. Tushar Lokhande graced the occasion and expressed his thoughts on the importance of literature. The principal also endorsed the utilization of library and strongly recommended that the students should refer authentic information from books. Book Exhibition was organized at H. K. College of Pharmacy by library committee in the pharmacy library premises on 12/08/2025 from 11.00am to 4.00pm for one day. The vendor who participated in
the exhibition was Vinayaga Book House. The main objective of the book Exhibition was to display Pharmacy books, Reference books and other General books with the latest editions to students and faculty members. The review of books helps students to understand the content related to different subjects and respective topics according to the syllabus, that will help them to buy books for library as well as individual students. The event was organized to sow the the seed of interest in reading books, inculcate reading habits and improve skills in conceptual knowledge in students.
